Employment Services for Francophones

La Boussole is a one-stop service centre for francophones. It has been providing a wide variety of services to the Francophone community in Vancouver since 2002.

The multidisciplinary team at La Boussole has the experience, skills, and knowledge to assist individual francophones in many different ways including collecting required ID’s, applying for government assistance, finding housing and receiving health services.

In providing employment services, La Boussole believes in respecting job seekers’ employment goals. The organization focuses on an individual's strengths and on building relationships with job seekers and employers. Over the years, La Boussole has identified several employers in Metro Vancouver who want to hire francophones.
If you are a francophone and want to receive employment services in a French-speaking environment, La Boussole would be a good choice for you.

We offer:

Resource Area
La Boussole gives you access to resources and computers for your job search. You can use computers, access the internet, send faxes, get copies made, make private phone calls and read job postings at La Boussole.
One-on-one Services
La Boussole’s Case Managers speak French fluently and understand the French experience on cultural, political and historical levels. They will meet with you individually to identify your skills and help address your challenges. After developing a plan for reaching your goals, La Boussole staff can help you write résumés and cover letters, give you information about the labour market, figure out job search strategies, practise interview skills and find a job.
Services in French are also available at the Vancouver Northeast Employment Centre. You are also welcome to use services at our other locations. Click on Contact Us for details.
