Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities are now available for Festival MOSAIC 2013! Our fourth annual show, on October 24, 2013, builds on the success of prior years, including last year's sold out show. It is a great pleasure to present Festival MOSAIC 2013 at the Telus Studio Theatre at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC. This move to a larger venue will allow us to share this wonderful evening with 275 of British Columbia’s corporate and philanthropic leaders as well as members and supporters of the MOSAIC community. Please take a look at our Sponsorship Opportunities package to see how you can help to support the programs and services of MOSAIC. For more information on becoming a sponsor, please contact festivalmosaic@mosaicbc.com.

The most recent class of Job Options Vancouver (Group 16) celebrated the conclusion of four weeks of full time classes about job search with a delicious Pot Luck luncheon. They are eager to begin their Short Term Certificate training and then will move into the work experience portion of the program (four weeks of paid, unpaid, or subsidized work placements). Two participants announced that they have been hired and are excited to begin working.

Comments from our participants….

The experience I had with MOSAIC was very positive, and I feel a lot more confident in my job search now. I really hope that the program will continue for other immigrants who are trying to get into the Canadian workforce.

I find this program very useful. It helped me to see more clearly all my opportunities and apply my new knowledge to find a new job

Thank you very much for this skilled program. This is one of my best experiences in Canada that made me believe and love this land stronger and truly.

MOSAIC was one of 59 organizations that took part recently in the 2013 Burnaby Business Day Tradeshow and Expo. More than 400 people attended the event. It was an opportunity for MOSAIC to talk about the employment and language services it provides in Burnaby. It met with employers who expressed interest in hiring MOSAIC clients and a couple of former participants in MOSAIC's Skills Connect for Immigrants Program volunteered to share their success stories with those currently in the Program. MOSAIC was pleased to participate in the Tradeshow and looks forward to next year!
